USES: Ofloxacin is a class of drugs called fluoroquinolones. It is an antibiotic medicine that kills bacteria and hinders their growth. It works by inhibiting an enzyme required for the bacterial DNA to replicate; this blocks the multiplication and growth and results in the eventual death of the bacteria. It inhibits the growth of protozoa or bacteria by interfering with protein formation process, leading to the death of the bacteria or protozoa. It is used in treating conditions such as gastrointestinal infections such as acute diarrhea or dysentery, gynecological infections, lung infections, and urinary infections. It also helps treat bacterial infections of the urethra, cervix, urinary tract, bladder, bones, skin, ears, nose and eyes. It fights against both Gram-negative as well as Gram-positive bacteria. Ornidazole�is an effective medicine to treat infections caused by protozoa and certain strains of anaerobic bacteria. �Combination is used to treat gastrointestinal infections such as acute diarrhea or dysentery, gynecological infections, lung infections and urinary infections.
