USES:
L-ornithine l-aspartate is used to treat brain damage due to severe liver diseases (hepatic
encephalopathy) and in liver cirrhosis (poor condition of liver due to dying of healthy liver tissues.
L-ornithine- L-aspartate, the salt of the natural amino acids ornithine and aspartate acts through the mechanism of
substrate activation to detoxify ammonia. L-ornithine stimulates the urea cycle, with resulting loss of ammonia.
