USES:
Methylcobalamin is an active form of vitamin B12. It differs from cyanocobalamin in that the cyano
at the cobalt is replaced with a methyl group. Deficiency in this vitamin may cause serious
symptoms such as fatigue, nerve damage, digestive issues and neurological problems like
depression and memory loss. It is used to replace levels in patients who shows deficiency
symptoms and may also be used to treat certain conditions such as neuropathy, ALS, and certain
types of anemia.
Thiamine, (or vitamin B1) is one of essential B vitamins that has many important functions
throughout the body. Patients with alcohol dependence, old age, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, bariatric
surgery, dialysis, high-dose diuretic use, are at increased risk of thiamine deficiency. It is important
for glucose metabolism, and it plays a key role in nerve, muscle, and heart function.
Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) is needed to maintain the health of nerves, skin, and red blood cells.
Pyridoxine has been used to prevent or treat a certain nerve disorder (peripheral neuropathy).
